Hello Dearest Parents and Guardians

Over the past four weeks we have been celebrating many events and I would like to thank our staff who worked hard to organise these activities. I appreciate the work that goes into making these events run smoothly and like I always say teamwork is a priority.

BOOK FAIR:

I would like to thank to all our Students, Teachers, Librarian and Parents who have supported the Book Fair. We were pleased to have a variety of books to sell. Students took a huge interest in our library display. The theme this year was ‘Reading Rainforest- Go wild for books’. Our reading corner is very inviting and students love reading there.

CAKE STALL GRADE 4 AND 5A:

Grade 4 and Grade 5A teamed up together to raise funds for Qurban Campaign. Congratulations to Mrs Esra and her team, they raised $480 which is equivalent to 4 Qurbans. All of our students donated cakes and lollies. They had a successful day.

LITERACY AND NUMERACY WEEK:

We were lucky to celebrate Literacy and Numeracy Week in style this year. We had a variety of activities, incursions and a hands on activities for students to engage in. I would like to thank Ms Gocmen for organising ‘The World of Math’ incursion. Students loved the challenging and fun activities. I myself was challenged with some math activities but pulled through. I would also like to thank KLA Committee members for organising a fun week of Literacy activities.

CHARACTER PARADE:

What a fun day we had; students were all dressed in their favourite book characters. I would also like to extend the school’s appreciation to all of our staff who took time to get dressed up; we also teamed up with our Secondary Department. Our character parade was a lot of fun.

ICAS TESTS:

Congratulations to all our students who participated in ICAS 2017 tests this year. It is great to see students eager to do so well. All coordinators will receive the results by end of the term and share with students.
